Two elderly Glossop North End supporters await the teams’ entrance before their club’s game with Barnoldswick Town (in yellow). Glossop North End celebrated their 125th anniversary in 2011 and were once members of the English Football League, spending one season in the top division in 1899-00.

The chance to get really close to spectators and capture expressions and reflect their mood is what motivates me. Proximity is everything in my work. I like to be among the crowd at games, to experience what they are feeling and try to capture those moments with my camera.”
